Common Signature of AD, Oxidative stress and Chronic inflammation

Network: H. sapiens miRNA-regulated interactome (H. sapiens)
The network was constructed using protein-protein interactions from BioGRID version 2.42 and documented miRNA targets from TarBase.

Experiment: The analysis of publicly available databases and the survey of scientific literature showed a total of 234 AD, 273 oxidative stress and 172 chronic inflammation genes. Comparison between these lists, revealed many common genes which may be the first and most obvious evidence for common molecular mechanisms. Additionally, AD, oxidative stress and chronic inflammation genes may act in a cooperative manner at the protein level or could be co-regulated by the same miRNA molecules.
