Common Signature of Cancer, Oxidative stress & Chronic inflammation

Network: H. sapiens miRNA-regulated interactome (H. sapiens)
The network was constructed using protein-protein interactions from BioGRID version 2.42 and documented miRNA targets from TarBase.

Experiment: Comparison between the networks for cancer, oxidative stress and chronic inflammation revealed many common genes which may be the first and most obvious evidence for common molecular mechanisms. Additionally, cancer, oxidative stress and chronic inflammation genes may act in a cooperative manner at the protein level or could be co-regulated by the same miRNA molecules.
